When is Ramadan 2027?
Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, and Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March 2027. The exact dates depend on the sighting of the crescent moon and are announced shortly before.
That means the last day to issue an Umrah visa (1 Shawwal) is expected to be Eid itself. If you plan to perform Umrah in Ramadan on an Umrah visa, apply well before Ramadan starts, not in the last days.
Why a Ramadan Umrah costs more
- Demand peaks in Ramadan, especially in the last ten nights. Flights to Jeddah and Madinah and hotels near the Haram rise sharply.
- Hotels within walking distance of the Haram fill up early. Booking late often means paying more or staying farther away.
- The first part of Ramadan is usually less crowded than the last ten nights.
How to plan the budget
- Decide which part of Ramadan you will travel in, and how many nights you will stay in Makkah and Madinah.
- Get real quotes for flights and hotels for those exact dates.
- Put them into the Umrah cost calculator to see the total for your group, including visa, transport and food.
Always confirm visa rules and booking requirements on the official Nusuk platform before you pay. This site is independent and not connected to the Saudi government or Nusuk. Some booking links are affiliate links.
